Jean-Francois Gaulthier
Nice
Born in 1971 in Brittany, Jean-François Gaulthier worked with pastels at the beginning of his career and he studied the technique and colors of the Masters of the 18th and 19th Centuries.
Later on he started working with oil paints, but kept the nuanced tones and lightness of pastels that have now become his trademark.
He regularly exhibits his work, most notably in galleries in Cannes and Monaco.
He has lived in Nice for 8 years, where he opened his studio in the Old Town in 2003. In 2007 he also opened a studio in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
Much appreciated for his paintings of flowers, his still life paintings and for the eras that he takes us back to, Jean-François Gaulthier's work is found in many private collections in France, Monaco, Italy, U.K. U.S.A. and Japan.
